KreaShone

KreaShone > Using many photos which were taken on my travels, and various elements sourced and re-worked in painstaking detail. This formed an interesting montage in which Buddha himself observes and transcends the enlightened state to be omnipotent.

Conception
© 2009, Pira Melody
Conception > Devised from a great many photos which I took in many different places (Thailand, Australia, USA). The different photos all had varying lighting and over time I pieced together each tree and waterfall and various elements to form a scene with my beloved girlfriend (Katelyn Prentice) as the centre point.

Mer•ka•bah > Created to describe the illustrous energy field known as the Merkabah. Having explored the relevant symbologies attached to this divine object, I was moved to try and depict this form. Using only flat shapes, it has a decidely 3D effect.

Photoshop and lots of layers. Everything has a time and a place, this was 2005.

Diviseven

Diviseven > Completed with only vector objects layered in Photoshop with many blending effects and colour tweaking. It's a division of seven, which I find a very pleasing mandala formation.

Magnitus

Magnitus > Created back in the year 1999. This was the beginning of my journey with Jungle Pixel. Having conjured up the name from the roots of being raised in the rainforest (jungle) and working with the smallest unit of the visual digital environment (pixel).

Insectaspective

Playing in 3D back in 2000. Very basic raytracing software. I based all the articulated legs and mandibles on the parts of a backhoe machine. The insect was one I found in the rainforest and modelled in Ray Dream 3D.

Nine & Eight
© 2008, Pira Melody
This is a mandala that was made with many layers of intricate line work. I used the principle of dividing the circle in nine and eights.

Desiderata

Desiderata > After a trip to Melbourne, visiting the wonderful church of St.Peter, I had taken some photos of the high-cathedral ceilings and the amazing organ, which came together to form this ornate image.

LurkaaBah

Much like the Mer Ka Bah, but oddly different. This rather psychedelic piece is made from many fine lines and layers.

FourTified
© 2008, Pira Melody
Using raw lines with colour gradients and many layers, this mandala worked well on a t-shirt.

Four•Fold
© 2008, Pira Melody
Inspired by the buddhist four fold path to enlightenment. This is another mandala made using many fine vector line shapes and layers in Photoshop.
